Terms of Use
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Rightful is operated by ClaimRightful. By using Rightful, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Rightful is
Rightful is an informational tool for discovering and tracking class-action settlements. Rightful is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not affiliated with any company, court, settlement administrator, or government agency. Reading a settlement in Rightful does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Who can use Rightful
Rightful covers US class-action settlements. Eligibility is set by each settlement's court-approved notice, and these settlements are generally open only to people who used the relevant products or services while in the United States. Payments are usually made by US check or US bank transfer. A subscription pays for access to Rightful, not for eligibility or any payout.
No guarantees
Settlement details, deadlines, and payout ranges are summarized from official notices and may change. We don't guarantee your eligibility, claim approval, payout amount, or payout timing. Always review the official settlement notice before filing.
Your responsibilities
- Submit only truthful information and only claims you genuinely qualify for. Filing a false claim may be unlawful.
- You file claims yourself on the official administrator's website, under that site's terms.
- Keep your account secure and don't misuse the app or its data.
Subscriptions
- Checking your matches is free. A subscription unlocks filing guides, official claim links, alerts, and claim tracking.
- On iPhone, subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Website orders are processed by our online resellers, Paddle.com or Gumroad, which act as the Merchant of Record for those orders and handle payment, billing inquiries, and refunds. Current prices are on the Pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled (for Apple, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period).
- Cancel an iPhone subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; refunds follow Apple's policies. Cancel a web subscription in Profile → Cancel subscription on the website; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Some website plans start with a free trial. The trial length, the price and the exact time of the first charge are shown before you start. You aren't charged during the trial; if you don't cancel in Profile → Cancel subscription before it ends, the plan's price is charged automatically when it ends and the plan renews until canceled.
- Website payments can be refunded in full within 14 days. See the Refund Policy.
- A subscription bought on either platform unlocks Rightful on both when you sign in with the same account.
- Rightful never takes a percentage of any settlement payment you receive.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rightful is provided "as is," and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, missed deadlines, denied claims, or amounts you expected to receive. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Rightful in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms or the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them. You can stop using Rightful and delete your account at any time.
Apple
These terms are between you and Rightful, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
